This privacy policy explains which data the app GrandLineDex processes and why. GrandLineDex is an app for managing a One Piece Trading Card Game collection with Cardmarket price data.

GrandLineDex asks for access to your camera when you scan cards. Image recognition (text recognition/OCR) runs entirely on your device — no camera images are sent to us or to third parties, stored or analyzed.
The cards you own, your wishlist, collection goals, condition and price entries, the price history of individual cards and your language setting are stored by the app only locally on your device (in the so-called app storage). This data is never transmitted to a server. If you delete the app, this data is deleted as well.
To show you current market prices, the app regularly (at most every 12 hours) downloads a public price file from a cloud storage (Cloudflare R2). The file is identical for all users — no card IDs, no information about your collection and no account or device identifier are transmitted. As with any internet connection, your IP address is technically transmitted for the duration of the request; we do not store or analyze it.
The underlying market prices originate from Cardmarket and are processed through a third-party service (BerryWallet).
Card images are loaded from a cloud storage (Cloudflare R2). No personal data is transmitted in the process — only the technically usual retrieval of a public image file.
When it starts, GrandLineDex automatically checks whether a new app version is available, using the service Expo Application Services (EAS, provider: Expo, USA). Technical information such as the app version and device type is transmitted, which is needed to deliver the matching update — no personal collection data.
So that we can fix errors before you notice them, GrandLineDex uses the service Sentry to receive a technical report when the app crashes or an unexpected error occurs (e.g. which screen was affected, device model, app version, error message). The data is processed on Sentry servers in the EU. No collection data, photos or other personal information are transmitted.
GrandLineDex is financed by a single, discreet ad banner on the home screen, provided through Google AdMob. There are no other ad formats (no full-screen, video or interstitial ads) and no separate marketing or analytics software such as Google Analytics.
When you first start the app, Google's consent tool (User Messaging Platform) asks whether you agree to personalized advertising. If you decline, AdMob only shows non-personalized ads — the ad banner stays equally discreet in both cases. To serve the ad, Google processes technical information such as the advertising ID, IP address and device information; if you consent, additional data for personalization. This processing is the responsibility of Google. You can find details in Google's privacy policy.
You can change your consent at any time in the ad settings of your Google account (myadcenter.google.com).
Because we do not store any personal data that identifies you on our servers, there is usually nothing there that we could give you information about or delete. If you have questions about this policy or suspect data processing nonetheless, you can reach us at any time at the e-mail address above.
If the app evolves (e.g. through an optional user account or additional ad formats), we will update this policy and point it out in the app.
